Temperament
3.5 weeks: I love this little girls affectionate nature. It may be her age but she loves snuggling up close and climbing onto any humans knees. She is the first puppy to raise her head and recognise our scents. As soon as she realises who has come into the pen, she gets up and comes to say hello. I feel she may naturally love humans.
I have nicknamed her "Daredevil Dana". She will go off doing her own thing, doesn't worry about being on her own, does not need a human nearby for safety- she knows she is safe and can do things on her own. I catch her walking along the pig rails and casually walks off. She is showing a great independence yet loves to be around humans and will already come when called. (When providing food, I call "puppies come" and they have learned that those words mean something good awaits them. This now works for praise as well and I am practicing this numerous times a day.)
4.5 weeks: Dana continues to show her confidence when exposed to various stimuli in socialisation. She is showing a lovely affectionate nature and she is quite funny. She started to chew and pull my hair and I had to say ouch as she genuinely hurt me.. the look she gave me was so sweet and then she proceeded to lick my face. Apology accepted 🙃
Humans hold a lot of value to Dana. She loves them all and enjoys engaging in any game.
5 weeks: I am super proud of Delta and her siblings. We have been gradually building up to have a little drive around the block in the car- not 1 puppy was phased! They didn't make a sound and when we stopped, all but Disco was fast asleep. My next step is to get them in the stroller, in the house and then the garden. Then I can take them around the street and then it will be time for strolls around shops and various areas. I am also getting to accustomed to wearing a harness and get them used to the puppy car seat so we can practice taking them for solo car drives in the seat.
Prior to leaving, our puppies will:
Be microchipped.
Have a thorough puppy vet check up before leaving us.
Receive their first and second vaccine. (1st vaccination booked for the 3rd of March)
Be registered with the UKPA and owners receive a lovely certificate.
They will leave with an extensive puppy pack to support both the puppy and their family. An example is shown below.
