On Sunday we saw around 5 puppies and suddenly it felt real. Around the 2nd of June, we will welcome Willow's first puppies with Drake into the world.
Husky masks are guaranteed and they will be either black and white or blue and white. They will be perfect no matter what, and I am super excited to see their inherited traits. Willow weighs 7.5kg and Drake weighs 9kg so I would expect puppies to have similar weights.

Temperaments
Willow is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever been fortunate to have. She is calm, non-vocal, cuddly and very human-friendly. She can often be found relaxing on the sofa, with a paw on one of us humans or in the air indicating she wants her paws to be massaged. She enjoys interacting with other dogs and prefers smaller dogs outside of the household. She enjoys attention from children of all ages. She enjoys her own company and shows lovely, relaxed behaviour when left home alone.
Drake is very similar to Willow. He is laidback, non-vocal, human friendly and gets along well with other dogs on and off lead. He enjoys attention but also likes his own space. He likes relaxing on the sofa but soon gets warm and seeks a cool floor to sprawl on. One of Drake's favourite pastimes is to sit outside and watch the sky. He enjoys watching the birds, clouds and stars. He looks like he is content and enjoys the breeze through his fur. Of course he also likes to listen to the various sounds and the scents that the wind brings.
Drake has always enjoyed his own company and demonstrates calm, relaxed behaviour when left home alone.
I could not be prouder of their temperaments. They make my life easy as they adaptable, quiet, and are happy to go with the flow with our busy household.
There are currently 4 people on the waiting list for their babies. I will not advertise the puppies until they are closer to 6 weeks old and when I am confident about the puppy's temperaments and the types of homes they will need to thrive in.
I am always more nervous with a female's first litter. I will be prepared for anything and everything. I will sleep downstairs with Willow 7 days before her due date and then for the first 3 weeks. I will have all the necessary equipment on hand as well as emergency supplies. My local vet is a 5-minute drive away which is reassuring.
