I am very excited to see the puppies Astra and Hendrix would produce.
We have a 25% per puppy of it being chocolate/white and the others would be black/white .

I had hoped to start my new lines of Pomskies when I bought Astra. My initial plan was to find a lilac Pomeranian, and to keep a perfect girl to later pair with Drake. As luck would have it, she isn't full husky so my plans changed.
For a while, I contemplated not breeding her. I did consider finding a perfect husky stud but I couldn't find any studs that had any health tests done. Breeders of the stud dogs didn't provide a detailed description of their temperaments either.
There's also the problem that huskies are big dogs, they can be high maintenance and many huskies can be found in rehoming centres.
It wasn't until I spoke to a fellow Pomsky breeder (who is one of the first Pomsky breeders in the UK), that I thought about breeding Astra again. Having explained her genetic results, she said with Astra's temperament, I should still go ahead and breed her.
Astra's temperament is truly perfect. She is very laidback, such a sweet girl, confident in herself and is not at all bothered by other dogs when on walks. She loves playing with my children and I will often find her asking them to throw a ball for her to fetch. She has never shown any destructive behaviour and is lovely and settled when we leave the home. The more I expose Astra to new situations, the more I think.. wow. She truly is incredible. People often tell me I have a wonderfully behaved Husky. She stands out and she knows how to make people fall for her. She asks for hugs and stares into their eyes with her ears back- the look that draws them in and she has perfected it.
As Hendrix is only 4kg, has miniature Siberian Huskies and tiny Russian Pomeranians in his lines, I think he will be perfect to pair with Astra. I think it is more likely we will get mini to standard sized husky crosses.
I am hoping for bigger versions of Hendrix and smaller versions of Astra. A nice mix of them both would be amazing!
I believe this pairing will make absolutely incredible puppies with the perfect temperaments that make them ideal family dogs or companions.
I am extremely excited to get to know them and work out the traits they have inherited. If I can create puppies with similar temperaments or a mix of both, I just know people will be so grateful. I can just imagine the conversations telling me how they are with their family, when out and about and how much they have fallen in love with them.
Their puppies will inherit small percentages of Astra's other breeds (GSD, Akita and malamute).

BVA hip scored- Astra 4, Hendrix 15
BVA elbows both 0
Hendrix has Grade 0, clear eyes
Astra has a Grade 1 eye and a very low Grade 2 in the other eye
Both clear from over 220 diseases tested via Embark.
