3 weeks have gone by quickly. Willow's first litter of 3 boys and 2 girls are thriving and I could not be prouder of them.

Willow's smallest girl will be living with one of Raven's babies and I am looking forward to the updates. It will be special seeing 2 of my babies living together.

I had a full waiting list for this before they arrived and the amount of timewasters has dampened my spirits. Despite people meeting the parent dogs and my others, I got told my dogs are too small. As I didn't charge a fee for being on the waiting list, people have gone elsewhere as they wanted a puppy sooner.

I am having a rethink on how to approach enquiries when I don't have puppies available. At the moment, I am leaning towards not bothering with waitlists. The reason is because I don't have time to waste. I have spoken to people at length on the phone, sent emails and photos back and forth, answered questions and they have wasted hours of my time. I have 8 dogs to care for, train, socialise as well as 3 children to care for. I also have a house and garden to maintain. The dogs go out a minimum 2 x 30 minutes walks a day in groups of 2, 3 or 4. I then do additional walks for one to one time and training. It takes half a day to groom them all properly.... I never want to be rude to anyone but I honestly do not have the time to waste. When I have puppies, I prioritise them and their socialisation with plans in place for someone else to walk the dogs.

On a more positive note, meet Pepsi

Pepsi has recently arrived and if he passes his health tests, he will be a future stud for us. He is unrelated to my girls, has a gorgeous conformation, beautiful nose shape, woolly coat and his temperament is just perfect. His Embark swab is on it way to their lab and I am looking forward to seeing his results.

If he passes his health tests, then he will be our stud and will only be available to breeders within the UK Pomsky Association.
