In less than 2 weeks, Alaska and Hendrix's puppies will arrive and we are ready! I have the whelping box assembled and I have been encouraging Alaska to go in there. She enjoys it and more so when I am in there stroking her tummy. Necessary whelping items are sterilised and the vet beds and towels are washed and are set aside in a vacuum bag.
To feel ready, I am in the process of deep cleaning the house. I need to feel like dust and bacteria are at a minimum level before puppies arrive.
I will reread notes and watch videos to refresh my memory in case we have any kind of emergency.
Although I am excited, nerves are kicking in. I want every pup to arrive safely and for Alaska to have an easy labour with no issues 🤞
