Wolf Heart Pomskies UK
~ breeding responsibly with love

UK Pomsky breeder.
Raising puppies under a successful socialisation programme- enabling them to develop life skills to help them navigate our human world.

5 star licenced breeder.
Claire Nicholson, Licence no: 22/00401/COMM

Willow has been successfully mated to a handsome stud and a very early scan reveals developing sacs. I will scan again every weekend and the pregnancy will be viable from the 12/07/25. We can expect F4, mini sized, black/white, blue/white Pomsky puppies with husky masks.

We are a busy family based in West Yorkshire, England. Our Husky and Pomskies are a big part of our family. We plan everything with them in mind, from day trips, Pomsky playdates and holidays.

Our dogs are first and foremost our family members. I will only breed from a dog that has a temperament that is worth passing on- taking into account everything from how they are with other people, other dogs, how they cope in new situations, their confidence, their trainability, how well they can settle on their own and many more aspects. Puppies inherit traits from their parents via epigenetics so I feel a huge responsibility in getting it right with my potential parent dogs. Once I deem their temperament worthy, then they will be fully health tested- Embark for breed and health, BVA eye test with gonioscopy and BVA hip and elbow scores. Pairings are made that complement each other. This means I look at temperament from both parents, their conformation and colour is last on the list. They will only breed if they pass all health tests.

We are very passionate about our dogs and every puppy we bring into this world. We want to give every puppy the very best chance in life therefore we start an early socialisation programme. We use a combination of The Puppy Culture Programme and skills learned in the iPet Network Level 3 on Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation and Welfare Course. Puppies will develop key life skills during their critical socialisation period thus preparing them for life. I want to bring puppies into this world that have the very best chance of living an amazing life. I want them to be able to reach their full potential and become a special companion to someone, a furry family member and the kind of dog their family could not imagine life without.

The early socialisation includes handling from birth, ENS and ESI from day 3 to day 16, sound desensitisation, various textures under their paws, unstable surfaces, raised levels from the ground, grooming, toilet training, crate training, car socialisation, preparation for vet health checks, socialisation with other dogs and socialisation with a variety of humans (including my children). On top of all that, they understand the love humans can bring and they know humans provide security.
The activities in my socialisation programme will change and grow as I learn more. I strive to improve and make it better.
Puppy owners will have myself for guidance and support before they get their puppy. I am currently creating a decent sized booklet with a lot of information that will support them from the early days and well into adulthood.
Lifetime of support is guaranteed and I want to be able to meet up with the puppies that I helped to bring into this world. I am very proud of what I do and seeing them grow and develop is an incredible feeling.

I am council licenced, and qualified with a Level 3 certificate and Level 3 diploma in Dog Breeding, Litter socialisation and welfare.

There is a puppy contract in place to protect me, the owner and the puppy when each puppy is sold.
None of my puppies will end up in rescue centres- if the owner has a change in circumstances in the future, I will be there to support them and take the puppy back to assess and then find the perfect home.
Every puppy is covered with a 1 year Health Guarantee. You can view the guarantee here.

Puppy prices will be between £1500 and £3000. This will depend on markings, body shape, size and how close they are to the ideal breed standard.
Our journey:
  • our dogs are family first- they live in the home and are socialised well
  • our dogs are raw fed and supplements are added to support their life stage and hormone changes. In season, pregnant, lactating and post whelped females are provided with extra nourishment/supplements to support them as much as possible
  • temperament of potential parent dogs are taken into account prior to health testing
  • we are honest and transparent with their health test results- available on the website, Facebook and in all communications
  • they are fully health tested for both foundation breeds- Husky and Pomeranian
  • I am a licenced breeder
  • I have a Level 3 qualification in dog breeding, litter socialisation and welfare
  • I am currently studying for a diploma in canine nutrition, behaviour, anatomy, and professionalism in dog breeding
  • pairings are matched by taking into account size, conformation, coat type but most importantly their temperaments
  • all puppies are socialised in many areas so that they can develop the life skills they need to become confident, well round, resilient dogs
  • we are open and transparent about our puppies and their development- we will post updates in the way of posts, photos and videos to show how well they are developing and interacting during their early socialisation
  • potential owners must complete an application form and be prepared to meet up with us in the future
  • potential owners are matched/guided to the puppy that most suits their family and lifestyle
  • puppies will leave with an extensive starter pack that not only helps during their first few days, but for life.
I am creating a booklet with useful advice to support owners and get them off to the right start and troubleshoot puppy, teenage and adult phases
  • lifetime of support is guaranteed- I will always be there for the babies I bring into this world and the babies resulting from other breeders who use our studs
  • all owners are encouraged to join our Facebook group where we can share updates and ask for advice. (Owners are more than than welcome to contact me privately as well)
  • I care about all of our puppies and want to meet up for playdates. Likely to take place at enclosed fields to let them run and play in a secure environment
  • our females will only be bred if they are 100% fit and healthy
  • females will have a max of 4 litters- this will be less if it is in their best interest, if they ever need a caesarean and if they don't take to motherhood as expected
  • females will have a minimum of 12 months between litters
  • we will only have 1 litter at a time to focus on the care of the mum and raising every puppy to a high standard
  • I work with experienced Pomsky breeders to ask for advice, bounce ideas from and to share in our love for Pomskies
I am very proud to announce I am now a member of the UK Pomsky Association. Working with other breeders with the same ethics and working to better the breed is something I am very proud to be a part of.

Litter Plans
Alaska kicked off this year with a beautiful litter of 4 girls. She did extremely well, was lovely and relaxed with her daughters and her temperament is evident in them.

Raven had 6 beautiful puppies with Drake in April. Eden was just perfect and we decided she has to stay with us.

Willow will be paired with an outside stud. I have gone through my options (I am super picky as they have to be perfect!) and I have the perfect boy in mind. We can expect a litter of husky masked puppies, black and white and possibly grey/blue and white. Both Willow and the stud carry a blue eye gene therefore we are likely to see more blue eyes than in her first litter.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for Astra and Drake babies around Autumn. Their temperaments combined will make puppies with the best temperaments and traits. Both are stunning dogs (I know I am not biased due to the interest they get  :) ), therefore they will make stunning pups.

To be on a waiting list, people must pay a £200 non-refundable deposit. I will no longer hold a place for someone without a deposit.

If anyone wants to be on the waiting list and hopes to breed from my puppies, then this needs to be discussed in depth with me. The reasons to go into breeding should not be taken lightly. My puppy contracts are for pet homes only with a spay/neuter contract.
I can create a contract around providing breeding rights but rights will not be given to just anyone.

Events
A few playdates are planned and we hope to catch up with many of our previous puppies when we don't have a litter.

Health Tests
The current average score for a Pomskies hips around 14. All of the elbows are 0 (as they should be).
Our Pomskies and Astras total hip score results are:
  • Hendrix 15
  • Raven 14
  • Willow 12
  • Drake 10
  • Alaska 8
  • Astra 4
All had their annual BVA eye test in May 2024.
Next eye test July 2025.

Education
I have a Level 3 certificate in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation and Welfare.
I have successfully passed my Level 3 Diploma in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation and Welfare. The course also covered canine nutrition, behaviour and professionalism in dog breeding.

All but 2 of my puppies have been sold to pet homes under a spay/neuter contract. The exceptions are subject to passing health tests.

Dog Shampoo and Conditioner

Pomskies rarely need baths but when they do you need products that are kind to skin and products effective at removing dirt. I highly recommend Buddy Care for their shampoo, conditioner and detangling spray. Having used a huge variety of brands, the Buddy care products have been hands down the very best. The detangling spray is a gamechanger for those longer coated Pomskies. Grooming becomes more fun- fur is easier to comb through, making grooming pain free and a more pleasant experience. They smell amazing too.
